ABOUTMichael D. Schwalberg, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of anxiety disorders. Dr. Schwalberg graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Emory University. He received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the State University of New York at Albany, and interned at Brown University. His mentor was David H. Barlow,Ph.D., ABPP, one of the world's leading authorities on the nature and treatment of anxiety disorders.
Dr. Schwalberg was a clinical and research associate at the SUNY Center For Stress and Anxiety Disorders and the director of the Fairleigh Dickinson University Adult Anxiety Disorders Clinic. Currently, he is a consultant to a panic disorder treatment study at New York Hospital, Cornell Medical Center and a partner at Hudson Valley Psychology Associates, PLLC. Dr. Schwalberg also has expertise in the area of eating disorders, in which he has published, and has been a consultant to a pain management center.
